It's time for this year’s annual Houston’s Funniest Person Contest! Beginning in 1991, this contest has featured some VERY funny Houstonians over the years. It originally started at the Laff Stop, but it has since moved to the Laff Spot after the Last Stop closed down in 2009. Slightly confusing. We are just happy that this contest still exists!

The contest starts at 8:00pm, and the doors open at 7:30pm. The ticket price is $15, BUT if you call to reserve tickets early and mention Hey, Huntsville then the tickets are only $10! Call the Laff Spot at (281)655-7777 to make your reservations!

This contest is always opened to ANYONE in Houston who has not previously won the title—not just established comedians. However, past winners have moved on to successful comedic careers. For those that are curious, Wikipedia features a LIST and information about previous winners.

I am planning to be there tomorrow night! I am rooting for Gerald Torregosa. However, this is going to be a tough year for the contestants, because the competition is strong! Judge for yourself tomorrow night!

If, you are staying in Huntsville, there is plenty to do in town tomorrow night. Thursday nights are notoriously the PARTY NIGHT in Huntsville, and now we are getting BINGO NIGHTS at Lizards!
